The San Luis Valley Law Firm was formed in 2010 by Barbara Zollars, Anna Ulrich, and Matthew Hobbs. Each attorney has their own areas of expertise, and the law firm is well-staffed and capable of handling almost any type of legal matter that an individual or businesses may face in the San Luis Valley. Barbara Zollars has over 20 years of experience as a criminal defense attorney and has handled every type of criminal case including first degree murder. Most recently, Ms. Zollars managed the San Luis Valley Public Defender’s Office, and went into private practice in 2009. Anna Ulrich began her career specializing in Indian law and worked with many large tribes across the country, including the Southern Ute Indian Tribe and Navajo Nation. She later became the first research attorney for the district court judges in the San Luis Valley. Ms. Ulrich is currently specializing in children’s issues, domestic relations, and mediation. Matthew Hobbs began his career as part of the in-house counsel’s office at the University of Colorado. He went into private practice in 2004 here in the San Luis Valley. Most recently, Mr. Hobbs was a partner in the Monte Vista firm of Farish & Hobbs, P.C.
